World Students Day 2023: World Students Day 2023 is celebrated on the birth anniversary of the great Scientist, Former President and Teacher Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on 15th October every year. World Student day is not only celebrated in India but also in all over the world. The purpose of this day is to honor and acknowledge the work, achievements and contribution of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam for education and students. He also served as 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. He was also known for his love and dedication towards students and focus on promoting the better level of education for the students.

World Students Day 2023: History

World Students Day has been celebrated from the 15th October 2010, when the United Nation declared the day as the World Students Day. 15th October is the birthday of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, was born on the same date on 15th October 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu (Madras). Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is also known as the Missile man of India as he was one of the known aerospace scientist and teacher and contributed his work towards the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force. When he worked in DRDO he led the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) to develop five different missiles- Prithvi, Agni, Trishul Akash and Nag. In 2002, he became the President of the Republic of India.
