UPSC Exam Schedule 2024
For this year, UPSC has scheduled the prelims examination on 26th May 2024 which has been postponed and scheduled for 16th June 2024 due to the 18th Lok Sabha Elections held in April-June 2024. The UPSC CSE Mains Examination is scheduled from 20th September 2024 for 5 days for a total of 1056 vacancies of CSEs and 150 for IFOs.
The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 will be an objective-type test conducted in two sessions. Candidates can download their prelims admit cards from the official website at upsc.gov.in. The admit card for mains examination will be released separately.
Steps to Download UPSC Prelims Admit Card
The admit card is the most important document that the candidates need to carry to the examination center to gain entry. However, they should be aware of the process to download the hall ticket form the official UPSC website. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned here to download the UPSC Admit Card 2024.
- Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission, upsc.gov.in.
- The UPSC Admit Card 2024 download link will be shown on the official portal.
- Click on the link and fill in the Registration ID or Roll Number and proceed.
- Submit details such as Date of Birth and CAPTCHA code.
- Submit and download the admit card.
UPSC Admit Card 2024 Important Instructions
Before downloading the UPSC Admit Card, the recruitment portal of the commission proviedw the candidates with some of the important instructions that they should keep in mind while accessing the hall ticket as well as on the exam day. Listed below are some of these instructions as directed by the commission.
- Please note that entry into the Examination Venue shall be closed 30 minutes before the schedule commencement of the Examination i.e. 09:00 AM for the Forenoon Session and 02:00 PM for the Afternoon Session. No candidate shall be allowed the entry into the Examination Venue after closure of the entry.
- You are responsible for safe custody of the e-Admit Card and in the event of any other person using this e-Admit Card, the onus lies on you to prove that you have not used the service of any impersonator.
- Candidates should note that any omission/ mistake/ discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
- There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in both the question papers of the Examination.
- Answers other than those marked by Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.
- A candidate, whose photograph on his/her e-Admit Card is not clear or the photograph is without his/her name and date of photograph, will have to bring a photo identity card alongwith two passport size photographs (with his/her name and date of photograph), one for each session for appearing in the Examination with an undertaking.
What if candidates do not get their UPSC Admit Card 2024?
If candidates fail to download the UPSC CSE Admit Card 2024, they can wait till the last working day before the exam date. After this, they should immediately contact the officials of the commission by means of the contact number provided by them. Information regarding the admit card can also be obtained from the facilitation counter at the commission’s office, either in person or by calling 011-23381125, 011-23385271, or 011-23098543. Candidates must note that there will be no permission to appear for the exam without an admit card.
