UPPSC RO/ARO Prelims 2023 Exam: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially announced the postponement of the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Preliminary Examination 2023. As per the notice issued on 15 November, 2024, the exam, originally scheduled to be held in three shifts on 22 and 23 December, 2024, has been deferred.
The decision to postpone the examination was taken under the chairmanship of Prof. (Dr.) Ram Pyare, a member of UPPSC, along with Shri Yogesh Kumar Shukla (retired IAS) and Shri Prem Prakash Pal (retired PCS), who have been tasked with evaluating the logistical and administrative aspects of the examination process.
The Commission has assured candidates that a revised schedule will be released soon after the committee submits its report and the necessary deliberations are completed. Aspirants are advised to stay updated with official notifications for further updates regarding the exam.

UPPSC RO/ARO Prelims 2023 Exam Pattern
The UPPSC RO/ARO Prelims exam is conducted in two papers, which are objective-type (multiple-choice questions). Here is the detailed exam pattern:
Paper 1: General Studies
Total Questions: 140
Maximum Marks: 140
Duration: 2 Hours
Paper 2: General Hindi
Total Questions: 60
Maximum Marks: 60
Duration: 1 Hour
Key Points: Both papers are conducted on the same day.
Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking in the Prelims. Candidates need to qualify both papers to be shortlisted for the Mains Examination.
