1. General Hindi/सामान्य हिंदी
1- हिन्दी और अन्य भारतीय भाषाएँ,
2- हिन्दी व्याकरण का मौलिक ज्ञान- हिन्दी वर्णमाला, तत्सम-तद्भव, पर्यायवाची, विलोम, अनेकार्थक, वाक्यांशों के स्थान पर एक शब्द, समरूपी भिन्नार्थक शब्द, अशुद्ध वाक्यों को शुद्ध करना, लिंग, वचन, कारक, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, क्रिया, काल, वाच्य, उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय, संधि, समास, विराम-चिह्न, मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, रस, छन्द, अलंकार आदि,
3- अपठित बोध,
4- प्रसिद्ध कवि, लेखक एवं उनकी प्रसिद्ध रचनाएँ,

2. Basic Law/Constitution/General Knowledge
Criminal Law: Indian Penal Law and Criminal Procedure Code, women, children, provisions related to the protection of Scheduled Castes and Tribes, various procedures related to conservation, traffic regulations, environmental conservation, wildlife conservation, human rights conservation, Right to Information Act, Income Tax Act, anti-corruption laws, National Security Act, IT Act, cybercrime, public petitions, important judicial decisions, land reforms, and general knowledge of land revenue-related laws.
Constitution: Preamble of the Constitution, fundamental rights, directive principles of state policy, fundamental duties, parliamentary system, structure of central and state governments and their formation, law-making authority, local governance, elections and their significant information, constitutional amendments, and essential information on the related schedules and subjects of the Indian Constitution.

UP Police SI Selection Process 2025
The candidates who wish to get their dream job of Sub Inspector in UP Police must be aware of the UP Police SI Selection Process 2025. The UP Police SI selection process involves various stages i.e. Written Exam, Document Verification, PST and PET. UP Police SI Exam Pattern 2025
In this section, candidates will find the UP Police SI Exam Pattern 2025 to help plan the strategy and prepare accordingly. UP Police SI 2025 Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates who will qualify in the online written test of the UP Police Sub Inspector will be called for the Physical Standard Test. The required physical standards for the post of UP Police SI is mentioned below:
- Female Candidates should at least weigh 40 kg.
- Male Candidates should have a minimum chest expansion of 5 cm.
- General, OBC and SC Male candidates should have a height of 168 cm while ST candidates should be 160 cm tall.
- General, OBC and SC Female candidates should have a height of 152 cm while ST candidates should be 147 cm tall.

UP Police SI 2025 Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Those who qualify the Physical Standard test will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test as well. Candidates have to run a certain distance (race) in a particular time period to qualify the PET. Male candidates will have to run 4.8 km in 28 minutes whereas, female candidates are required to run 2.4 km in 16 minutes. The UP Police SI PET requirements are summarized below:
