TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates preparing for the TNPSC Group 1 Exam must be well-versed in the exam pattern and syllabus to crack this exam. The exam pattern as stated in the TNPSC Group 1 2024 official notification is as follows.

• The question paper for TNPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam 2024 will be divided into 2 sections.
• The paper will consist of 200 questions worth 300 marks.
• 175 questions will be from General Studies and 25 questions from the Aptitude and Mental Ability Test.
• The exam duration will be 3 Hours.
• The minimum qualifying marks will be 120 marks for unreserved category candidates and 90 marks for candidates from specific reserved categories mentioned in the official notification.

TNPSC Group 1 Hall Ticket 2024 General Instructions

The official notification for the TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2024 provides some general instructions and guidelines regarding the Hall Ticker for the reference of the candidates. Some of the important points among those have been mentioned below. The candidates are advised to keep these points in mind to avoid any last-moment confusion and ensure a smooth examination experience.

• The memorandum of admission (Hall Ticket) for eligible candidates has been made available on the Commission‘s website www.tnpscexams.in / www.tnpsc.gov.in for downloading by candidates. The memorandum of admission will not be sent by post. The candidates must comply with every instruction given in the memorandum of admission.
• Candidates shall present themselves at the examination venue with the memorandum of admission (hall ticket) downloaded from the Commission‘s website, failing which, they shall not be allowed to write the examination. Candidates shall also bring with them, a photocopy of their Aadhaar card / Passport / Driving Licence / Permanent Account Number (PAN) card / Voter ID card.
• Change of venue will not be permitted. No candidate, without prior approval, shall be allowed to appear for the examination at a venue other than the one originally allotted.
• If the photograph of the candidate in the memorandum of admission (hall ticket) is not printed or not clear or does not match with candidate‘s appearance, he/she should furnish a separate photograph affixed on a plain paper, along with his name, address, register number and signature along with a copy of the memorandum of admission (hall ticket) and a copy of Aadhaar card / Passport / Driving Licence / Permanent Account Number (PAN) card / Voter ID card, to the Chief Invigilator, who shall countersign it.
• Candidates must carry only a black ballpoint pen, a photocopy of any one proof of ID, as specified and memorandum of admission (hall ticket) inside the examination room. Other materials are not allowed.
