SSC Stenographer CBT Exam Pattern
The computer-based test (CBT) for SSC Stenographer posts is conducted for a total of 200 marks, with the question paper available in bilingual languages—Hindi and English—except for Part III, which is in English. Here’s a breakdown of the exam pattern:
- +1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Candidates are given 120 minutes (2 hours) to complete the exam. For candidates using a scribe, an additional 40 minutes (totaling 2 hours and 40 minutes) will be provided.

SSC Stenographer Syllabus (Skill Test) Tier 2

Dictation Test- In the dictation test, candidates for Stenographer Grade C will be given a dictation for 10 minutes at a speed of 100 words per minute. The dictation test for Stenographer Grade D is conducted at a different speed, as detailed in the table below.
