SSC MTS 2024 Preparation Tips & Tricks
The General awareness section in the SSC MTS Exam has become more dynamic with time as questions on current affairs have taken the center stage of the preparation phase. However, the importance of the basic subjects and Static GK remains the same as always as the concepts in these topics can help grasp the current affairs better. The candidates preparing for the SSC MTS Exam 2024 can refer to the points below in order to score better in the exam.
- Daily Current Affairs – The questions related to the current affairs topics do not follow any fixed pattern. To prepare for this section, the candidates should dedicate at least 30 minutes to 1 hour each day to stay updated about the new events and keep revising the ones in the recent past.
- NCERTs are the key – NCERTs form the basis of the entire General Awareness section and should be given utmost priority while preparing for the exam. Many times, questions are seen directly sourced from the NCERT books.
- Practice Sectional tests, Quizzes and Previous year questions – These are some of the most important resources for sharpening the concepts learned and going through exam-level questions. They can prepare the candidates for almost any kind of permutation in the actual exam.
- Revision – In the beginning phase of the preparation, the candidates can dedicate 80 percent of their time in learning and practicing. However, towards the end of the preparation phase, this ratio should get reversed and 80 percent of the time the candidates should be doing revision of the concepts. This can help minimize the mistakes in the exam and maximize the score.
