SSC MTS English Syllabus 2024
SSC MTS is one of the prestigious recruitment processes for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) positions. The SSC MTS exam provides an opportunity for candidates to secure employment as peons, gardeners, drivers, and other support staff roles in government offices with minimum qualification of matriculation. Candidates must start their preparation for the SSC MTS Exam 2024 for their future preparations. The SSC MTS Syllabus mainly comprises four subjects i.e. Numerical and Mathematical Ability, Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2024
Before moving towards the SSC MTS English Syllabus 2024 candidates must check the SSC MTS Exam Pattern as notified in the notification PDF. Check the exam pattern for all subjects like Numerical and Mathematical Ability, Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension which consist of 40 questions in session 1 and 50 questions in session 2, for which complete timing will be 45 minutes per session.

SSC MTS English Syllabus Topic-Wise
The total number of questions asked will be 25 for 75 questions. Candidates understanding of the Basics of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, correct usage, etc. his/her writing ability would be tested.

Spelling/detecting misspelled words | This section checks the spelling abilities and attention to detail by presenting words with spelling errors or asking them to identify correctly spelled words. |
Idioms & Phrases | This section evaluates expressions with meanings that cannot be deduced from the individual words. |
One word substitution | This part tests the candidate’s vocabulary and expresses their ideas with comprehension skills and the ability to interpret idiomatic expressions in context. |
Improvement of sentences | This section evaluates the candidate’s grammatical proficiency and writing skills by presenting sentences with errors or awkward constructions and asking them to improve or correct them. |
Comprehension Passage | It evaluates their ability to grasp the main idea, infer information, identify supporting details, and make logical deductions from the given passage. |
