SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria Age Limit
Age limit is one of the most important aspects of any recruitment process. As the SSC CHSL Recruitment is done to appoint candidates who have cleared their 10+2 examinations, the candidates who apply for this exam are younger in age. The age limit for the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024 is 18-27 years. However, the candidates from different categories are provided relaxation in the upper age limit. The details of the age limit mentioned in the official notification is as follows:
- The age limit will be determined on 01 August 2024
- The candidate’s minimum age should be 18 years.
- The candidate’s maximum age should be 27 years.
- Candidates born not before 02 August 1997 and not later than 01 August 2006.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024 Educational Qualification
Apart from the age limit, the candidates should also ensure that they possess the educational qualifications required to apply for the SSC CHSL Exam 2024. For LDC/ JSA and DEO/ DEO Grade ‘A’: Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024 Citizenship (Nationality)
Apart from the above eligibilities candidates need to satisfy the Citizenship criteria also. The candidates need to fulfill the following to fit in the SSC CHSL Application Criteria:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024 Physical Efficiency Test
Among the various posts offered in the SSC CHSL Recruitment, the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) in the Border Road Organisation (BRO) requires the candidates to satisfy certain physical and medical standards. It is stated in the official notification that only male candidates are eligible for this post and the applicants should ensure that they fulfill the required standards before opting for this post.

- Every recruit must be sufficiently intelligent, free from nervous instability and be in possession of sound health. He shall have no constitutional or acquired disability as may in the opinion of the Recruiting Medical Officer render him unfit for duties, in the organization, particularly at high altitude and hard areas.

Q. Can Graduates apply for the SSC CHSL 2024?
Ans. The official notification states that the candidates applying for the SSC CHSL 2024 must have passed the 12th class from a government recognised board. So, it is clear that the candidates who possess the Graduation degree are eligible for the CHSL exam if they satisfy the age limt criteria applicable to their category.
Q. Is the Physical Efficiency Test mandatory for each post of SSC CHSL 2024?
Ans. The official notificaton of SSC CHSL 2024 states that the candidates who have opted for and qualified the cutoff of the Lower Division Clerk post in the Border Road Organisation will have to appear for a Physical Standard Test. Q. Do I have to take Maths in 12th to be eligible for SSC CHSL 2024?
Ans. The educational qualification required to be eligible for SSC CHSL 2024 is 12th pass. It does not specify any subject that the candidates have to take in the 12th class. So, no you it is not mandatory to take maths to be eligible for the CHSL exam. Candidates who have passed 12th class with any combination of subjects are eligible.
