Here is the Success story of Manisha Verma and the strategy adopted by her in her own words as shared with Adda247.

My name is Manisha Verma. I am from Devariya, Gorakhpur. I had done my schooling in CBSC Board up to 12th class from Devariya. Then completed my Graduation from BHU in Botany.

Due to responsibilities and some family crises, I decided to pursue my career by preparing for Govt. jobs. I am above average student in my academic always. I think there is no need to be a topper in academics to get success. I didn’t want to go for the research.

I started my preparation in 2018 seriously i.e. after my graduation. I attempted the exam in 2020 which was my 3rd attempt. I have attempted many govt. exam and this is my proper first selection.

I have appeared for the railways, banking, SSC CHSL, and SSC MTS exam also to enhance my practice and preparation. I was very shocked and surprised after the declaration of the result.

The easier subject in SSC is reasoning but my favorite subject was Mathematics. I love Mathematics since childhood and I use to give home tutors for Maths also. My weak subject was General Science. In the last 2 attempts, I understood that GS is one which is holding me back. So I decided to give my 100% in GS. then 1.5 years I fully focused on GS and started watching the ADDA247 videos History. The adda247 team has supported me in this journey of preparation. Then I scored 34 marks out of 50 in GS.

For Freshers my suggestion is don’t lose faith in yourself. You have to develop a confidence and positive attitude. Believe in your actions and wait for positive results. Consistency is the key. Time management is also very important. Candidates need to keep confidence in themselves to get a definite selection for the desired post.

Mock Test is very important, you should attempt one weekly 1 mock and after 100% completion of the syllabus start attempting it daily. Observe your performance in the Mock test. Analyze your weakness. I focused more on the previous year’s question papers.  Start preparing for mains so that prelims will get qualify easily.
