Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC CGL Exam 2024 in 2 stages i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2. The mode of exam for Tier 1 and Tier 2 will be online. The SSC CGL 2024 Tier-1 exam will be conducted online comprising 4 sections with maximum marks of 200. SSC CGL Exam Pattern (Revised)

Staff Selection Commission has revised the SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 1 and Tier 2. This change also includes the change in the negative marking. Earlier the exam was conducted in 4 stages which has been wrapped up to only 2 stages. SSC CGL Tier 1 is qualifying in nature. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Tier 2 examination only. There is no provision for Document Verification, the concerned departments will conduct the Final DV.

Negative Marking in SSC CGL Tier 1

There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer. There is no sectional cut-off. No mark will be deducted if the question is left blank or unattempted by a candidate. The Tier-I exam consists of four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

Negative Marking in SSC CGL Tier 2

The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted in 2 phases only- Paper 1 and Paper 2. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Paper-I and Paper-II.
