SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University or Institution.

Age limit

• A subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan, or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India

Steps to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2025

Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth registration for the SSC CGL 2025 exam:

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website at www.ssc.gov.in and click on the “New User? Register Now” button.

Step 2: You will be directed to the registration form, where you must enter your name, valid email, and active phone number to create your unique registration number and password.

Step 3: Log in with your credentials and start filling in all required details in the Application Form, including personal, educational, and other relevant information, such as age, date of birth, gender, nationality, address, Aadhar number, category, and educational qualifications.

Step 4: Upload the required documents in the specified format, including a signature, photograph, academic certificates, category certificate (if applicable), and identity proof. After uploading, click on “Submit.”

Step 5: Complete your registration by paying the exam fee through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or other available options. Proceed for Final Submission.

SSC CGL 2025 Application Fees

The SSC CGL 2025 Application Fees can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards. The offline payment can be done through cash by generating a challan at the State Bank of India (SBI).

SSC CGL Vacancy 2025

The total number of vacancies that have to be filled for SSC CGL Recruitment 2025 will be shared soon with official notification, although last year there were 17,727 vacancies which were released for Group B and C posts for various Graduate-Level posts, and in the coming year we can expect a larger number of vacancies. SSC CGL Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2025 is different for different stages. Candidates must check the Exam pattern to understand Stage 1 and Stage 2 to start their exam preparation for the upcoming year.

SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 Exam Pattern

• The first stage in the selection process is an objective computer-based examination.
• SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 consists of 100 questions, containing 25 questions each from 4 different subjects viz Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, English, and General Awareness.
• The questions will be asked from the syllabus of 6th- 10th standard.
• There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in all sections.

SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted in 2 phases only- Paper 1 and Paper 2. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Paper-I and Paper-II,

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Paper I

The candidates who clear the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2024 will be eligible to appear for the Tier 2 Exam. Paper 1 of this stage of the selection process will consist of three sections each containing two modules.
