The Staff Selection Commission has updated the list of posts available for recruitment in SSC CGL 2024. In a surprising move, it has removed the Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Account Officer (AAO) post from the recruitment process. This step taken by the commission will have a far-reaching impact on the entire selection process. The changes in the various aspects of the recruitment are as follows:
- Removal of AAO post from SSC CGL 2024.
- Removal of Paper III for SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam.
- No separate cutoffs for AAO posts along the results
- Change in the number of potential applications for SSC CGL 2024.

SSC CGL 2024 Exam Pattern
The candidates have to go through a selection process that includes 2 different stages for the SSC CGL 2024 recruitment process. The SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024 is different for different stages.
The first stage in the process is the SSC CGL Tier 1 examination which contains 100 Questions with 200 marks. 60 Minutes are provided for attempting this examination. After clearing the cutoff for the SSC CGL Tier 1, aspirants will qualify for the next stages of recruitment i.e. SSC CGL Tier 2.

The first stage in the selection process is an objective computer-based examination. SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 consists of 100 questions, containing 25 questions each from 4 different subjects viz Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, English, and General Awareness, the questions will be asked from the syllabus of 6th to 10th standard.
