The official reply also contains details of vacant seats available in other posts as well that will be filled via promotion or direct recruitment.

The posts mentioned in the reply are that of ACP, Inspector, Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector, Head Constable and Constable. Delhi Police Constable Recruitment Process
The candidates waiting for the official announcement of these vacancies should keep in mind that the data provided in the RTI reply does not represent the vacancies that are going to be declared in the upcoming recruitment process. The official vacancies will soon be updated on the Delhi Police websites.
As observed in the previous years, Delhi Police conducts the entire recruitment process in a period of 6 months, the first stage of which is the Computer Based Examination followed by a Physical Endurance & Measurement Test. The candidates should be aged between 18 – 25 years and should have cleared the final exam for the 12th Standard. The post of constable requires the candidates to be verified holders of an LMV Driver License.
