Steps to Apply Online for RRC WCR Recruitment 2024

The Railway Recruitment Cell, West Central Railway (RRC WCR) had invited applications for 3317 vacancies for the post of Apprentice. Candidates who were interested and eligible to apply could follow the steps given below. Candidates were advised to apply before the last date (9th September 2024)

• Visit the official website of RRC WCR at wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.
• On the homepage, click on the “Contact Us” button.
• From the dropdown list, select “Recruitment”.
• Click on “Rail Recruitment Cell”.
• Then click on the “Engagement of Apprentices 2024-25” link.
• On the new page, click on the “Click here for online application” link.
• A new webpage will open  https://nitplrrc.com/RRC_JBP_ACT2024/
• Click on “New Registration” to create a new account.
• After successful registration, login again to the portal to fill out the application form.
• Upload the required documents in the given format and Pay the application fees as per your category.
• After paying the application fees, apply.
• Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

Documents Required to Apply Online for RRC WCR Apprentice

The online application for RRC WCR Apprentice needed you to ensure you had the following documents ready in JPG format having file sizes 50kb-200kb:

• Recent Passport size photograph with a pixel size of 100 x 120 & Signature in JPG format with pixel size 160 x 70.
• Birth certificate
• 10th standard (or equivalent) certificate and mark sheet
• 12th standard (or equivalent) certificate and mark sheet.
• Community certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS (if applicable)
• PwBD certificate (if applicable).
• ITI certificate & mark sheet issued by NCVT/SCVT.

RRC WCR Apprentice Invalid Applications

The candidates who have filled out and submitted their online applications will have to go through a level of scrutiny as their applications will be checked by the Railway Recruitment Cell. The official notification provides the details regarding the conditions under which an application submitted by a candidate will be considered invalid or provisionally rejected. We have mentioned these details in the points below.

• Application without a proper scanned photograph and signature will be considered invalid.
• Application without proper certificates, in respect of date of birth, educational/ vocational
  qualifications, etc will be invalidated.
• Caste (EWS/SC/ST/OBC & OBC declaration) certificate and other certificates should be obtained from the appropriate authority in the prescribed format otherwise the application will be considered invalid.
• Any other deemed irregularity determined by the Recruitment Cell will render the application invalid.

Eligibility Criteria

RRC WCR Apprentice Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Candidates interested in this recruitment must be aware of the Selection process. Selection will be done based on a merit list prepared in respect of all the eligible candidates who have applied for this recruitment. As the application window is now closed, the merit list will be prepared based on average marks obtained in the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) plus ITI/Trade marks for all the eligible candidates {including those candidates who applied for Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology) trade}. After that Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification, a candidate who qualifies for the interview process will be deployed in the concerned department of Railways.
