The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced an increase in the number of vacancies for Technician Grade III posts. Due to additional demand from various Zonal Railways and Production Units, the total number of vacancies has now been increased to 14,298. To accommodate the increased number of vacancies, the RRBs has re-opened the online application window which has come to closure now. The last date of re-application is arrived i.e. 16th October 2024. New candidates can apply and registered candidates can change their post preference from the link provided below till the last date only.

RRB Technician 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before you go on to apply for RRB Technician 2024, make sure you fulfill the age and education criteria given below. For newly added posts the age limit and educational qualification are the same as for Technician Grade III posts.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for Technician Grade I Signal must be between 18 and 36 years, while for Technician Grade III, candidates must be between 18 and 33 years. The age limit will be reckoned as of 01 July 2024.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for RRB Technician 2024 should have the following educational qualification:

• Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the related trades of Carpenter / Furniture and Cabinet Maker (OR)
• Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the related trades mentioned above

For RRB Technician Grade 1 Signal:-
A) Bachelor of Science In Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute OR B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute (OR)
B) Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or a combination of any of the above basic streams (OR)
Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams or a combination of any of the above basic streams.

For RRB Technician Grade 3:-
Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Forger and Heat Treater/Foundryman / Pattern Maker / Moulder (Refractory). (OR) Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the related trades.

RRB Technician Re-apply Online 2024 Link

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has reopened the online application window from 2nd October to 16 October 2024. Candidates now have the opportunity to fill up the application form on the official website of indianrailways.gov.in.  Candidates who have already registered can change their preference post preference by using their registration details and new candidates can register themselves and apply for the RRB Technician Recruitment 2024 from the link provided below.

Note – RRB Technician Re-Apply is opened specifically for Technician Grade III posts, and candidates cannot apply for Technician Grade I positions through this process.

RRB Technician Application Correction Link 2024

Candidates who have applied during this new application window period can also modify their application form from 17th October 2024 to 21st October 2024 from the official website. Candidates can make changes to the application form with a payment of ₹250/- for each modification. A separate notice will be published about the modalities /procedures to get the existing application data / new application submissions for both existing and new candidates.

• It is important to read the check the detailed notification regarding the recruitment process.
• Before applying for the RRB Technician Recruitment 2024, it’s necessary to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria i.e. Educational Qualification and Age limit set by the Railway Recruitment Board.

Documents Required For RRB Technician Online Application 2024

To successfully submit your RRB Technician Online Application, candidates should keep the important documents ready before filling out the application form. Here, we are providing you with a list of documents that are required for the RRB Technician 2024 online application form.

• Educational Qualification Certificates (Class X, ITI, and others if applicable).
• Caste Certificates for SC, ST, OBC, and EwS candidates.
• Identity Proof like an Aadhaar card, passport, Voter ID, etc.
• Recent Passport-size photograph and scanned signature.
• PwD certificate if applicable.
• Scribe’s photograph and details if applicable.

RRB Technician Application Fees 2024

• The application fees should be paid online only. There is no other mode of fee payment. Candidates who have applied earlier don’t have to pay any application fees for changing their zone and post preference.
• NOTE – Only the candidates appearing for CBT–1 will get a refund of their examination fee. For Gen/OBC/EWS Candidates Rs. 400/ and SC/ST/ Female/ESM Candidates: Rs. 250/-
