Eligibility Criteria for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Category

Nationality

A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently
settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda,
the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently
settling in India.
(f) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

  • Desirable: Specialization in Industrial Psychology, Ergonomics / Counseling with knowledge of Statistics and Computers
Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) of different subjects
  • M.A. Degree in Drawing and Painting / Fine Arts from a recognized University (OR)
  •  B.A. (Hons) in Art and Art Education (OR)
  •  2nd Class Bachelors degree with Drawing and Painting / Fine Arts with minimum 2 years full time Diploma from a recognized Institution (OR)
  •  12th(+2Stage) with minimum 4 years full time Diploma in Painting / Fine Arts or Part-time Diploma of not less than 5 years duration.
  •  Competency in teaching in English medium
  •  Desirable: Atleast 2 years Teachers Training Course from a recognized Institution OR 2 years teaching experience in a recognized institution
Chief Law Assistant
  • A University Degree in Law with 3 years standing practice as a Pleader at Bar
  • Serving Railway employees who are Law Graduates are also eligible to apply for these posts
Public Prostecutor Graduate with Bachelor degree in Law from recognized University and with five year
standing as an advocate at Bar
Physical Training Instructor (English Medium) Graduate with Bachelors in Physical Education (B. P. Ed) or its equivalent.

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
    • Tests English and Hindi language proficiency (50% of questions).
    • Remaining questions cover General Knowledge, General Intelligence, Simple Arithmetic, and basic computer knowledge.
  2. Translation Test
    • Only candidates ranked in the top 10 times the number of vacancies (based on CBT score) are eligible.
    • The Translation Test is qualifying with a pass mark of 60%.
    • If candidates do not score 60% in the Translation Test, they will be disqualified.
  3. Final Merit List
    • Based on CBT marks only. The Translation Test is not counted for merit ranking.
