Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India has launched the Prime Minister (PM) Internship Scheme for young and enthusiastic candidates for over 80,000+ vacancies. The PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) Registrations have already started from 12th October 2024 from the official website of PM Internship (PM Internship Portal) pminternship.mca.gov.in. Internships under the PM Internship Scheme will be for one year i.e. for 12 months. Candidates must go through the details provided below before applying for the Internship Program.

What is the PM Internship Scheme 2024?

The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme is a Government of India initiative aimed at providing internship opportunities to youth in the top 500 companies of India. The program offers youth exposure to real-life business environments across sectors, helping them gain valuable skills and work experience. This scheme targets to offer one crore internships to youth over five years. This program is an opportunity for the candidates and company to get skill training and gain experience in their work before joining the actual work.

What is the eligibility for the PM Internship Scheme 2024?

The candidates must be Indian Citizens. The minimum age to apply online for this internship scheme is 21 years and the maximum age required is 24 as of the last date of form submission. Candidates must not be employed full-time or engaged in full-time education. The required educational qualification is a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or its equivalent, a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent, or hold a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI), a diploma from a Polytechnic Institute, or a graduation degree such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc.

What is not eligible for the PM Internship Scheme 2024?

Candidates with the following points who are not eligible to apply for the PM Internship Scheme

Candidates below 21 years or above 24 years of age (as of the last date for application submission).
Candidates currently engaged in full-time employment or full-time education.
Candidates who have graduated from specific institutions like IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, or IIITs.
Candidates who hold qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, PhD, or any master’s or higher degree (recognized by the UGC).
Candidates are undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or training program under a Central or State Government scheme.
Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
The income of any of the candidate’s family members (self, parents, or spouse) exceeds ₹8 lakh for FY 2023-24.
Any member of the candidate’s family (self, parents, or spouse) is a permanent/regular government employee (excluding contractual employees). “Government” includes Central and State Governments, Union Territory administrations, Central and State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), statutory organizations, and local bodies.
