The Government of India has released a statement that says that there are 1,00,204 vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles (AR). Minister of State for Home Nitya Nand Rai said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that the government is taking steps to fill the vacant posts rapidly. This is great news for all those over the country who are looking for employment in the CAPF.
According to the data, there are 1,00,204 vacancies in CAPFs and Assam Rifles, of which 33,730 are in CRPF. As of October 30th, CISF had 31,782, BSF had 12,808, ITBP had 9,861, SSB had 8,646, and AR had 3,377 personnel on duty.
The minister stated that vacancies in CAPF and Assam Rifles arise due to factors such as retirement, resignation, promotion, death, the establishment of a new battalion, and the creation of new posts, and filling these vacancies is an ongoing process. The government has made it easier for people to join government jobs by speeding up the medical tests and making it easier to qualify for certain positions, especially in areas where there aren’t enough people applying.
According to Rai, 71,231 new posts have been created in five years. As of September 30, the total deployment in all forces was 9,48,204.
