JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the recruitment process, candidates need to satisfy the board’s minimum eligibility criteria. The educational qualification and age limit are mentioned here.
Nationality
The candidates applying for this recruitment must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on the prescribed format as of 29th August 2024.
Age Limit
- The minimum age limit required is 18 years as of 01.01.2024.
- The maximum age limit is 28 years.

JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection of the candidates for JK Police Constable Recruitment 2024 involves the following stages:
- Written Exam
- Physical Standard Test
- Physical Endurance Test
- Medical Examination
JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2024 Exam Pattern
The written exam will be the initial stage of selection. Candidates qualifying for the written test will be promoted to the next stages. The written Exam will be based on Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions. The language of the exam is English only. There will be negative markings for each wrong answer i.e 1/4th Marks assigned to that question. The syllabus of the examination will be notified separately on the official website of JKSSB.
Marking Scheme
According to the Home Department, candidates having National Cadet Corps Certificate will be awarded bonus marks as mentioned here:
- 5% of maximum marks for the candidates holding NCC “C” Certificate.
- 3% of maximum marks for the candidates holding NCC “B” Certificate.
- 2% of maximum marks for the candidates holding NCC “A” Certificate.
Physical Standard Test
The candidates qualifying for the written test will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test, six times the total number of vacancies filled in each category. The shortlisted candidates should meet the following standards:

Physical Endurance Test
Candidates qualifying for the Physical Standard Test will undergo the Physical Endurance Test for males and females. PET shall be qualifying in nature. PET requirements are as follows:
