How to Apply Online for ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2024?
The detailed notification as well as the official website contain the steps needed to be followed in order to submit the duly filled application form successfully on the application portal. The same steps are provided here for the reference of the candidates. The candidates are advised to submit their application well in time before the last date to avoid unwanted traffic.
Step 1: Visit the official website at pb.ifc.gov.in and click on the ‘Apply for Act. Apprentice” Button
Step 2: In the online application portal click on the ‘Fill the online application’ link and choose whether you are a fresher or an Ec-ITI.
Step 3: Enter the required details in the fields provided.
Step 4: Upload the required documents in the given format.
Step 5: Pay the online application fees (only for UR and OBC candidates).
Step 6: Download the payment receipts and application forms for future reference.
ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2024 Online Application Fee
The final step before the submission of the online application was the payment of the online application fee. The candidates should however note that this is only the online processing fee. It was applicable only to the candidates belonging to the UR and OBC categories. All the other category candidates are exempted from paying any such fee.

ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai will recruit candidates for the post of Apprentice through a merit list prepared by the commission depending upon the marks obtained by candidates in class. Candidates who have passed their class 10th during COVID-19, their marks in class 9th will be considered along with half-yearly marks obtained by them in class Xth.
- All communication from the ICF administration will be sent by SMS only and the select/eligible list will be uploaded to the ICF web portal https://pb.icf.gov.in. All SMS communications from the ICF Administration will be from PBICF and will only be made to the mobile number mentioned in the application.
- The merit list will be based on marks obtained in Std X.
- In the case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also the same, then the candidate who passed the Std X examination earlier shall be considered first.
- Based on the order of merit and availability of vacancy in the respective trade, the candidates will be allotted a trade. Once the trade is allotted, a request for a change of trade will not be entertained.
ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2024 Salary
The detailed notification also provides for the amount of the monthly stipend earned by different types of candidates who are finally selected. The stipend details are provided for the 10th and 12th pass Fresher candidates and certificate holders ex-ITI candidates.
