IB has successfully conducted all the shifts of the ACIO exam on 17th January and we have collected many data points to arrive at the proper analysis of the difficulty level of the exam. In this article, we present an analysis of the 4th shift. After talking to various candidates regarding their experience with the paper and consulting our expert mentors, we have tried to analyse the final shift of the first day of the IB ACIO Tier 1 Exam held on the 17th of January. We will be reviewing the ideal number of attempts, level of difficulty and analysis of each section.
IB ACIO Exam Analysis 2024 17 January, 4th Shift Difficulty Level
The level of difficulty of this shift of the exam as shared by various candidates was easy to moderate.
Sharing this analysis we hope that the candidates who have their exams tomorrow will get an idea of how to attempt the paper in the exam and maximise their scores.

IB ACIO Exam Analysis 2024 17 January, 4th Shift Section-Wise
The exam was divided into 5 sections and here we have tried to provide a look into the difficulty levels of each section and an in-depth analysis of different topics asked in the shift. The difficulty level of each shift has been almost equivalent overall however with minor differences.
IB ACIO Exam Analysis 2024 General Awareness & General Studies
General Awareness has always been the unpredictable section in the paper and the change of trend has seen a shift towards current affairs. A comprehensive knowledge of the concepts and a regular practice of previous year papers and mock tests can ensure good marks in the section. Here are some of the topics asked in the 4th shift of the 17th January paper.

- Statement based questions asked from polity.
- One statement question asked from Buddhism.
- Current Affairs were asked from December-January 2024.
IB ACIO Analysis for Logical/Analytical/Numerical Ability & Reasoning Ability
Reasoning is the combined assessment of a candidate’s language as well as analytical skills. Having a regular practice of previously asked questions in various exams helps the candidates build a strong base and a sense of application of the concepts. This section can be a game changer in terms of boosting a candidate’s score. The 20 questions asked are of different topics and in this shift, the overall level of this section was easy to moderate.

IB ACIO Analysis for Quantitative Aptitude
Quantitative aptitude has always been the biggest talking point in almost every competitive exam. Preparing this section takes a lot of time and also takes a lot of practice to gain confidence. Sometimes candidates have to make instant decisions about whether to attempt a question right away or save it for later. Time management is the key to handling this section. IB ACIO Analysis for English Comprehension
English Comprehension checks the ability of a candidate to interlink his/her concepts of Vocabulary, Grammar and Comprehension. Like the rest of the section this one also contains 20 questions however it can be the least time-taking. As per our interactions with the candidates, the level of this section in the 4th shift of the exam was easy to moderate.
