DFCCIL MTS Salary Structure
The salary for the MTS position is based on the pre-revised IDA Pay Scale, ranging from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 12,000. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as per DFCCIL guidelines. DFCCIL MTS Selection Process
The selection process for the MTS position comprises the following stages:
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The selection process for the MTS post begins with the 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT). It consists of 100 multiple-choice objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark. The exam duration is 90 minutes, extended to 120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates with a scribe.

Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage 2
The 2nd Stage CBT will consist of 120 questions of 1 mark each, with a duration of 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwBD candidates with a scribe). Marks from the 2nd Stage CBT will be considered for the final result.

- UR/EWS: 40%
- SC/OBC-NCL: 30%
- ST: 25%
- PwBD candidates receive a 2% relaxation in marks if there is a shortage of candidates.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates shortlisted based on the 2nd Stage CBT will undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This stage is qualifying in nature, and candidates must meet the following criteria:
- For Male Candidates:
- Lift and carry 35 kg weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
- Run a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
- For Female/Transgender Candidates:
- Lift and carry 20 kg weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
- Run a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
Document Verification and Medical Test
Candidates who clear the PET will proceed to Document Verification, where their eligibility and credentials will be checked. Finally, shortlisted candidates will undergo a Medical Test to ensure they meet the required health standards.
Final Merit List
The final merit list for the MTS category will be based solely on the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT. Candidates must clear each stage to be considered for the final selection.
