The notice states that the Final Select/Wait List will be prepared to keep in view the number of vacancies and total marks obtained by the candidates, subject to securing the minimum threshold marks and qualifying marks in the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). The minimum threshold percentage and marks that the candidates are required to score in Paper III are provided in the table below.

What after CSIR ASO Result 2024?

Candidates whose names are in the CSIR SO ASO Result must now prepare for the next stage i.e. Paper-III (Descriptive Exam) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). In the result notice, CSIR has informed that the second stage will consist of both papers and will be conducted on 7th July 2024.

The descriptive paper must be attempted by all candidates irrespective of their application to the SO/ASO post. The CPT will be conducted for the ASO post only.

CSIR SO ASO Selection Process 2024

The selection process for Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer consists of 2 stages i.e. Stage 1 Online Examination and Stage 2 Descriptive Paper for both posts.

Stage 1: Online Examination for both Posts (Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Stage 2: Interview for SO (Gen/F&A/S&P) posts only, whereas Computer Proficiency Test for the posts of Assistant Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P) posts.
