CSIR SO ASO Exam Date 2024 Out: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) announced the CSIR SO ASO Stage II Exam Date 2024 on the official website on 3rd June 2024 for 444 vacancies of Section Officer & Assistant Section Officer posts. The Stage II examination for Paper III and CPT is scheduled for July 2024, Sunday. CSIR SO ASO Stage II Exam Date 2024

The candidates qualifying for the CSIT SO ASO Stage I cut-off have been qualified for the Stage II Examination of CASE – 2023 i.e. Paper-III and the Computer Proficiency Test-CPT. The Stage II examination is scheduled for 7th July 2024, Sunday. Paper III i.e. Descriptive Exam will be conducted in the morning shift and CPT (for the post of ASO only) will be conducted in the afternoon shift at the same examination center.

In the latest update, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has informed the candidates the schedule for the Stage II Examination. The candidates who have qualified for the cutoff for the Stage I examination will be called for the Stage II exam comprising of the Descriptive paper and the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) on 7th July 2024.

The council has confirmed that the descriptive paper for the CASE Recruitment will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) paper will be held from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM. The Descriptive exam will be held for both SO and ASO posts and the CPT exam will be held for the ASO post only. The admit card for the second stage exam will be available for download at csir.cbtexamportal.in 10 days before the schedule date fo the examination.

Stage 2: Interview for SO (Gen/F&A/S&P) posts only Computer Proficiency Test for the posts of Assistant Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P) posts.

For the post of Section Officer post

First, you need to do well in the combined Paper I and Paper II, which together have 350 marks. If you do well enough, you go to the next step, which is Paper III (Descriptive Paper). In this step, you must again get enough marks in Paper I, Paper II, and Paper III, which together have 500 marks. Those who do well here move to the last step, which is the Interview, carrying 100 marks. So, the total marks for the Section Officer job are 600, including all the papers and the interview. For the post of Assistant Section Officer post

Candidates aiming for the post of Assistant Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P) will undergo a multi-stage selection process. First, they must secure the minimum required marks out of 350 in the combined Paper I and Paper II. Those meeting this criterion move on to the next stage, which includes Paper III (Descriptive Paper) and a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). The CSIR SO ASO Syllabus 2024 for the recruitment exam is structured into three papers, Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3.
