Can a final year student apply for SSC CGL?

- Can appearing/final year candidates apply for SSC CGL? “YES, but with certain conditions”.
- The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for appearing in the CGL Examination is a “Bachelor’s Degree” from a recognized university or its equivalent. 4-year degrees are also recognised.
- In the official notification to be released on 11th June 2024, it is expected that the educational qualification section will contain the clause: “The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess Essential qualifications on or the cut-off date i.e. 01-08-2024. .”
- The cutoff date mentioned in the notification will be final and candidates must have obtained their results/provisional degree/degree on or before the cutoff date to be eligible to apply for SSC CGL 2024.
- The candidate must make sure that they submit the required documents during the final process of recruitment i.e. Document Verification.
- In case, candidates possess equivalent educational qualifications, such candidates shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificates from the authorities concerned at the time of Document Verification. However, the final decision regarding the selection of such candidates will be taken by the User Departments/ Appointing Authorities concerned.

SSC CGL 2024 Educational Qualification

- Candidates of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to settle in India permanently are eligible.
