Branch Post Master Recruitment 2024: Overview

India Post is inviting online applications for the recruitment of Branch Post Master (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) in different offices of the Department of Posts. Here is the detailed overview tabulated including brief information regarding the BPM Recruitment 2024.

Branch Post Master Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The applicants will be shortlisted for the post of Branch Post Master and Assistant Branch Post Master on the basis of a system generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Secondary School Examination of 10th standard passed from a recognized Boards. Candidates who have Grade or CGPA in their 10th class certificate should convert it into percentage according to the formula given in the notification. Where Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is provided, the marks will be arrived at by multiplying the CGPA by 9.5. For Example candidate who have 10 CGPA should multiply it by 9.5 for percentage.

Branch Post Master Qualification

The candidates appointed as Branch Post Master and Assistant Branch Post Master will have the following job profile:

• BPM works on day-to-day postal operations of the Branch Post Office (B.O) and India Post
  Payments Bank (IPPB) in the manner as prescribed by the Department from time to time.
• Marketing and promotions of products and services being provided by the Department and operating various services in the customer service centers (CSC) of the Department etc.
• ABPM works in the Sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail at the doorstep,
  exchange the mail with the accounting office, etc. deposit/payments/other transactions of IPPB.
• ABPM assists BPM in postal operations in a manner as prescribed by the Department from time to time.
