Branch Post Master Vacancy 2024

The total number of vacancies announced for the India Post GDS Vacancy 2024 is 44228 vacancies out of which 16989 are allotted for the post of Branch Post Master and 23824 are allotted for the post of Assistant Branch Post Master.

Branch Post Master Qualification

• The candidates should have passed the 10th standard Secondary School Examination as of the date of the release of the notification.
• They must have scored passing marks in the Mathematics & English subjects of the examination conducted by a government-recognized Board of School Education. The additional qualifications are according to the requirements of the posts.

Other Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Computer
• Knowledge of Cycling
• Adequate Means of Livelihood

Branch Post Master Age Limit

The minimum age limit required for the post of Branch Post Master and Assistant Branch Post Master is 18 years. The maximum age limit is 40 years. Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:

Branch Post Master Recruitment 2024 Application Fees

The candidates belonging to the UR/OBC/EWS categories will have to pay Rs. 100 as the online application fee for the Branch Post Master Recruitment 2024. All other categories are exempted from the application fees. Candidates need to pay the application fees through online mode only.

The Branch Post Master’s salary per month is Rs.12,000-Rs.29,380 as per the Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) slab while the per month salary of the Assistant Branch Post Master is Rs.10,000-Rs.24,470.

Branch Post Master Work

The candidates appointed as Branch Post Master and Assistant Branch Post Master will have the following job profile:

• BPM works on day-to-day postal operations of the Branch Post Office (B.O) and India Post
  Payments Bank (IPPB) in the manner as prescribed by the Department from time to time.
• Marketing and promotions of products and services being provided by the Department and operating various services in the customer service centers (CSC) of the Department etc.
• ABPM works in the Sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail at the doorstep,
  exchange the mail with the accounting office, etc. deposit/payments/other transactions of IPPB.
• ABPM assists BPM in postal operations in a manner as prescribed by the Department from time to time.
