Bihar CHO Eligibility Criteria 2024

Before applying for the Bihar CHO Recruitment 2024, candidates need to make sure they meet the necessary eligibility requirements related to education and age. If they do not meet these requirements, their applications will be rejected at any point during the selection process.

Educational Qualifications

B.Sc. (Nursing) with successful completion of six months’ integrated curriculum of Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University from academic year 2020 onwards.
OR

Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with successful completion of six months’ Integrated curriculum of Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University from academic year 2020 onwards.

OR

B.Sc. (Nursing) / Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) / General Nurse and Midwifery (GNM) passed candidates who have completed Certificate Courses in Community Health (CCH) through IGNOU/ other State Public Health/ Medical Universities as per curriculum of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India (specified for eligibility of CHOs by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI).

Note – Additionally, the candidate should be registered with the Indian Nursing Council / Any State Nursing Council at the time of applying.

Age Limit

a) Maximum Age Limit as on 01/10/2024:
UR/EWS: 42 years for Male, 45 years for Female
BC/EBC: 45 years for Male and Female
SC/ST (Bihar Domicile): 47 years for Male and Female
b) Minimum Age: 21 Years
c) 10 years relaxation in age will be admissible to Persons with Benchmark Disability.
d) A maximum of 05 years of age relaxation will be applicable to departmental candidates provided they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

Selection Process for Bihar CHO Recruitment 2024

The final selection will depend on the marks candidates receive in the Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates need to score at least 30% overall in the CBT to qualify. Those who pass the CBT will be invited for Document Verification at a ratio of 1:2 based on the number of vacancies. To be selected for Community Health Officer posts candidates have to undergo the following selection process.

Bihar CHO Salary 2024

Each Community Health Officer (CHO) gets paid ₹40,000 every month. Out of this, ₹32,000 is a fixed salary, and ₹8,000 is paid based on how well they perform. The performance payment depends on certain health goals that they need to meet.
