4,351 Permanent and 11,259 Contractual Posts to Be Filled: Panchayati Raj Department

Bihar Government is all set to recruit a massive number of candidates in various departments in the Panchayati Raj Department Zila Parishads on a permanent and contractual basis. The appointment for the permanent basis will be made by the Bihar Public Service Commission and Bihar Employees Service Commission. There are 4351 permanent posts in this, while 11259 are contractual posts. The total number of 15610 posts in Panchayati Raj Department Zila Parishads and this is a big announcement for the candidates of Bihar. The recruitment process is divided into the following:

• Permanent Posts: 4,351 permanent positions will be filled by the Bihar Public Service Commission and Bihar Employees Service Commission.
• Contractual Posts: 11,259 contractual positions will be filled by District Magistrates through a selection committee. These posts include:
  • Accountant cum IT Assistant
  • Technical Assistant
  • Executive Assistant
  • Gram Kachhari Secretary
  • Gram Kachhari Nyay Mitra

Till now 10 districts in Bihar state have already started their hiring process for contractual posts through various drives. The government has instructed 28 more districts to begin the recruitment process immediately. The Zila Parishads will form committees headed by District Magistrates to handle the recruitment process for contractual positions.

Panchayati Raj Minister Kedar Prasad Gupta said that the contractual posts on which appointments are to be made by the Zila Parishads include 7070 posts of Accountant cum IT Assistant, 556 posts of Technical Assistant, 3 posts of Executive Assistant, 1400 posts of Gram Kachhari Secretary and 2230 posts of Gram Kachhari Nyay Mitra. Apart from this, the appointment of an accountant, technical assistant, executive assistant-data entry operator, Gram Kachhari Secretary, and Gram Kachhari Nyayamitra will be done by the District Magistrate.
